Victims of Savannah Priest Wayland Brown Speak Out About Sexual Abuse

There’s finally justice decades after a former Catholic priest sexually abused children.

Tuesday was sentencing for a former Savannah Catholic priest.  Today, victims came forward sharing a harrowing tale of abuse and terror after his sentence was handed down.

They say the priest brought them to a church in Hardeeville, only to rape them.  Several children were just middle schoolers when they were sexually assaulted.  Chris Templeton says he was raped 50 times as a child.

“(I) lost my soul and every bit of faith in God that I had,” says Templeton.

Allan Ranta, another victim, was soft-spoken and heartbroken.  “I had gone from being a happy young boy who loved life to a filthy sex toy for Catholic priests. I wanted to leave this Earth,” says Ranta.

Memories were only recently unblocked through intense therapy sessions.  Prosecutors say former Catholic priest Wayland Yoder Brown is the man is who sexually assaulted them.
