The Georgia Legal Services Program will host its annual Pro Bono Awards Luncheon at noon Friday to recognize the work of 39 private practice attorneys who assisted low-income Georgians with 191 legal matters at no charge.

State Court of Appeals Judge Michael P. Boggs will be the keynote speaker. Savannah-based attorneys Angelyn Tinsman and Jerold Murray will be presented with special awards in recognition of their representation of low-income clients and attorney Heather Lundy, president of the Younger Lawyers Division for her group’s support of the legal services mission to promote access to justice and opportunity out of poverty.

Tickets are available for $50 each, and a table of 10 for $400. All funds from the event will go to support the Georgia Legal Services Program’s Savannah Regional Office which provides free, civil legal services to 11 Georgia counties.
