Mark Tate Sponsors Swingin’ Savannah River 4th of July Celebration Event

Mark Tate of the Tate Law Group, LLC was a proud sponsor of the Swingin’ Savannah River 4th of July celebration at the Westin Savannah Harbor Lawn. This patriotic event featured a big band showcase by The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra and an inspiring Independence Day fireworks display.

Proceeds from this fundraising event will go to Companions for Heroes (C4H), a nonprofit organization that pairs service and shelter dogs with active duty military personnel, veterans, first responders, and military families. The dogs chosen for this important duty serve as constant companions, friends, and therapists to the heroes and families who selflessly serve our country.

As Companions for Heroes explains, “A Companion Dog’s primary function is to provide comfort and emotional support. They help the hero coping with psychological trauma because they require the hero to focus on the dog’s needs. Being walked, fed, groomed and played with redirected the hero’s focus from their troubles to that of the dog, helping the hero regain a sense of purpose. This leads to the hero becoming active in his or her community.”

This organization hopes to raise public awareness about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI), while also rallying support for the adoption of shelter animals. If you missed the event but are interested in donating, please visit the Companions for Heroes website.
